Three accused of possessing and selling drugs

Three Florida individuals were recently arrested after a drug sting in a residential neighborhood, the Port St. Lucie Police Department said. The sting was conducted on a Wednesday in late April. The three individuals were all charged with a variety of crimes, including selling drugs and drug possession.

Officials said that the investigation began in late April after a resident told police that a 29-year-old man was selling marijuana from his residence. Detectives conducted the sting the next day, where they reportedly purchased an ounce of marijuana. A second sting then took place five days later, at which point detectives claim that they purchased an additional ounce of marijuana.

Twenty-two days later, the authorities executed a search warrant at the residence. A large amount of cash was apparently discovered in addition to marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The man was arrested on a variety of drug charges. Additionally, his 21-year-old girlfriend and his 49-year-old mother were arrested on similar charges.

It is important to note that the allegations these individuals are facing are proof of nothing. Charges are nothing more than formal accusations. The accused individuals are fully entitled to a criminal defense, which will include the right to separate representation by an attorney during the pending legal proceedings in a Florida criminal court. None of the individuals have yet to be convicted of anything and will have every right to contest the accusations. As being convicted of possessing or selling drugs often comes with severe penalties, the individuals will most likely benefit from consulting experienced criminal defense attorneys to best ensure that their legal rights are fully upheld as they pursue favorable results in court.
